Agriculture Festival exactly enhances the bond between two worlds faraway and yet so close together: not by chance the 4000 years old plow kept in Museum Rambotti – the world's oldest one – has been chosen as a logo of the festival.
Desenzano and Lake Garda have always been a fundamental crossroads on the route between Milan and Venice. Their agricultural products of outstanding quality – internationally renowned wines, white, red and clarets; fine extra virgin olive oil, cheese and salami – and their location in between the historical cities of Verona and Brescia nowadays offer to Italian and foreign tourists excellent fruits of the earth, the rediscovery of habits and traditions, archaeological and literary trails, nature trails on foot, bicycle and horseback riding, water sports.
The Festival brings together these various experiences within a three-day event which links them to prospects and innovations. It thus gathers direct testimonies and contributions of high agri-cultural relevance to make them become ways of being, thinking and acting. The Festival aims at being an effective and incisive tool, where the audience is a purposeful actor who takes part at and influences this ethical turn.
Starting again from the earth and its care and re-establish awareness in the use of the planet's resources: these are the priorities which present time demands.
